We’re not going to go down the Blue Monday route. Although we have some great blue frames in store at the moment if they’re your thing.
Yellow Tuesday – well, it’s a bit tenuous but seeing as our other title was ‘EYES on another collaboration’ we thought we’d mix things up a bit. And we like yellow. A lot. Not sure if you’ve noticed?!
So, this coming Tuesday, 16th January, our long standing friend of the shop, Jen Smith, is bringing her Netwalk to the Quadrant. A Netwalk is for any local businesses who’d like to come and meet each other – whilst getting a bit of gentle exercise and fresh air.

The walk will be starting from outside the shop at 9.30am, having a gentle stroll around The Wick (wear your wellies) for about an hour and then returning to Fade to Black for coffee and cake courtesy of Jen – and our other friends, Heartwood Glass.
Not only were Heartwood Glass named in the top 100 businesses for Small Business Saturday last year, Alex has also been named as one of the most inspirational female entrepreneurs in the country as part of the f-entrepreneur #ialso campaign. We reckon it’s her excellent choice of eyewear stylist that nailed it.
Whilst Jez won’t be on the walk, he’ll be around for coffee afterwards and more than happy to show off the latest frames in store. Apparently the trends for 2024 include chunkier frames (got those), brightly coloured frames (got them too) as well as more unusual shapes (yep…) and distinctive wire frames (and again, yes).
As ever though, Jez is happiest finding the frames that work for you – not what the ‘eyewear trends for 2024’ say you should want. We want you to be confident and happy in your glasses this year – with great vision, great eyecare and us here to look after you. Do come in and find out more, either after the walk or at any other time that suits.
