We were delighted when 3 Best Rated included us in their 2018 listings. We’d not been open long and to have achieved so highly on their ratings system was proof to us that we were on the right track.
To be included again in 2019 was great – it wasn’t ‘beginners’ luck’! Then through covid and having to shut completely, reopen carefully and all that entailed, the email saying we’d retained our place through 2020 and 2021 was most welcome.
3 Best Rated considers all opticians in an area – not just independents like us. We’re up against the high street names (those that shall not be mentioned!) too – although we are judged on a practice-by-practice basis, rather than their national brand offer. To hold our place through 2022 and 2023 when we could see other listings changing was again, evidence our values and dedication to providing the best eyewear and eyecare were being recognised.
We received the email saying that we’d been listed again for 2024 at the beginning of this year – and we’re as pleased this year as we were back in 2018. To be judged by an independent organisation with clear criteria and a very clear policy that you don’t have to pay to be judged (there are many ratings out there that charge you to be listed!) and scoring 118/120 is something we’re very proud of.
Obviously, we’ve looked at where we could grab those extra 2 marks! One would be for Sunday opening. We’ve always said we’re happy to do consultations for colour vision deficiency and EnChroma by appointment on a Sunday, opening regularly on a Sunday isn’t something we’re ready to do. We think it’s important that our amazing optometrists get to spend time with their families and Jez gets to see life outside of the Quadrant!
