Because every young person deserves to be heard.
Being a young person today isn’t easy – and that’s exactly why Youth Talk exists. Based right here in St Albans, Youth Talk provides confidential, professional mental health support for 13–25-year-olds across the district. Free at the point of need, and self-referral only, it’s a service that cuts through the waiting lists and red tape, offering a lifeline when it matters most.
At EYES on St Albans, we believe that vision isn’t just about seeing clearly – it’s about recognising what matters in our community. Supporting Youth Talk is one of the ways we do that. Whether it’s joining in with local fundraising, helping spread the word through our network, or simply offering a listening ear when someone comes through the door – we do what we can to help amplify their work.
Our customers know that we’re always up for a chat – about glasses, about life, about the pressures young people face today. If someone needs more than great eyewear, we’ll always try to help them find the right kind of support. And Youth Talk is one of the organisations we’ll gladly shout about, anytime, anywhere.
Sometimes, the kindest thing you can offer someone is the space to be heard. That’s why we’ll always support Youth Talk.
“Jez has been a true friend to Youth Talk for many years and an absolute champion for our local young people. His passion for St Albans and his commitment to giving back to the community are truly inspiring.
Jez will always go out of his way to support the work of the charity, raise awareness, and help make sure young people get the help they need when they need it most. We’re incredibly grateful for all he does for Youth Talk and for the community we serve.“
