Practical help. Ongoing support. Human connection.
We believe that everyone deserves to be seen – properly, kindly, and without judgement.
That’s why EYES on St Albans supports the incredible work of St Albans Action for Homeless – a grassroots organisation offering hands-on help, care and community to people experiencing homelessness in and around our city.
Jez is on the board of trustees for the charity and plays an active role in supporting its work – whether that’s acting as a collection point, providing raffle prizes, or simply raising awareness through our social media and shop window.

We’ve also helped some of our homeless friends with something most of us take for granted – a pair of glasses that help them see clearly again. Because whether you’re reading a letter, filling out a form or trying to find your way in the world, clear vision makes a real difference.
It’s not about fanfare. It’s about doing what we can – practically, quietly, and with compassion.
We believe in community. We believe in showing up. And we believe in the brilliant work that St Albans Action for Homeless continues to do – every week, every meal, every small act of kindness that adds up to something much bigger.
Everyone deserves to be seen – clearly, kindly and without judgement
“Jez is instrumental in helping the homeless in and around St Albans. During November and December he takes in food boxes which we, in turn, distribute to people newly housed or people living on the breadline to help them out during the coldest months and over Christmas.
He also provides free eye tests and glasses for our street friends who would otherwise not take up any form of eye care – making a huge difference to their daily lives. EYES on St Albans is a major part of our community and we are so thankful for his input“
