What a weekend!
The team at EYES on St Albans had an absolutely fantastic time sponsoring the music at this year’s St Saviour’s Beer & Fizz Festival alongside Heartwood Homes, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a success.
For one weekend, the beautiful Victorian church on Sandpit Lane was transformed into one of the happiest places in St Albans, with families, friends and neighbours enjoying live music, fantastic food, local beers, ciders, fizz and, most importantly, each other’s company.
It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces throughout the weekend. Customers, local businesses, community groups and visitors all came together to celebrate everything that makes St Albans such a special place to live.
Jez Levy, owner of EYES on St Albans, spent time enjoying the festival and meeting people from across the city.
“This is one of my favourite events of the year,” said Jez. “You look around and see people of all ages enjoying themselves together. There’s brilliant live music, fantastic local food and drink, children dancing, friends catching up and volunteers smiling everywhere you look. It really captures what community is all about.”
As sponsors of the music, we were especially proud to see such a talented line-up entertaining the crowds throughout the weekend. From laid-back afternoon performances to lively evening sets, the atmosphere was incredible and the musicians helped create something truly memorable.
Of course, none of it would have been possible without the incredible volunteers who work so hard behind the scenes. Every welcome, every pint poured and every stage change reflected the dedication of people who give their time to create an event the whole city can enjoy.
Events like the Beer & Fizz Festival remind us why we love being an independent business in St Albans. They’re about far more than great food and drink. They bring people together, support local organisations, showcase local talent and strengthen the friendships that make our community so special.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising the festival, all of the volunteers, the musicians, local breweries, food vendors, fellow sponsors and, of course, everyone who came along to support it.
We’re already looking forward to next year.
