Be on the EYES on St Albans App

When we created the EYES on St Albans app, we wanted it to be a central resource for everyone who lives in St Albans. Our vision (please excuse the pun), was for residents to be able to look up what’s on at a weekend, find a great place for a dog friendly pub lunch and find someone who could fix what needed fixing or create what needed creating – all from the one app.

We’ve now reached the point with the EYES on St Albans app that we can list all those things – but we need to know what’s on, who serves what and who does what!

How to be on the EYES on St Albans App

First of all you need to download the app to your phone. Just search “EYES on St Albans” in the Google or Apple stores and download it.

Community Events

As an indenpendent retailer, we love being part of the St Albans community. If your community organisation is running an event to raise money (for example PTA school events, events at churches/mosques/temples, youth organisation fundraisers) we will list your event for free.

In return, we ask that you include the ‘We’re on EYES ON’ logo on your publicity materials and your website if possible. We’ll email you this when your listing is confirmed.

Business Events

If you’re running a business event, it’s £5 to list the event. This might be networking sessions that people pay to attend, a commercial sale or CPD event that’s open to the public.

We do ask that you include the “We’re On EYES ON” logo on your publicity materials/website for the event.

Sporting Events

If your sporting event is a community one for charity, we’ll list it for free. If it’s a paid ticket sporting event it’s just £5 per event.

As with community and business events, we do ask that you include the “We’re On EYES ON” logo on your publicity materials/website for the event.

Charities

We’ve started creating a list of charities on the app already but we are sure there are some we have missed out. If you would like your St Albans based charity (or Hertfordshire based that serves St Albans), we will list your charity for free.

How to order your listing

Go to the ‘Be on the App” section of the app and order your listing from there (for a free listing use ‘check out with cash’ otherwise it will try to take your credit card details and that’s a waste of your time!). You’ll then receive confirmation with instructions of what to do next.

List your Business or Restaurant on the EYES on St Albans App

We really want the app to be a comprehensive listing of businesses and restaurants/cafes/delis/eateries in St Albans. We’d love for it to be the place where you can find where serves Gluten Free fish & chips, or vegan delicacies, or the best chocolate brownies… you get the idea.

We’ve kept it simple – it’s £120 a year to list your business – full details of what you’ll get are on the app.

Supporting your local community

We use some of the £120 a year to keep the EYES on St Albans app up and running. The rest allows us to list charities, community fundraising and sporting events for free – so you get to give something back to your community too.
